Maciste is prisoner of the Parthian army. His captor General Tiradates means to make his fame and fortune by delivering him to the Parthian emperor. Court intrigues intervened.
In the previous book “Hellgate” Maciste was sent for punishing hard labour to break his will. Tiradates has rushed to the emperor to fight his claim.
